Why are RN SuperJet hull prices so crazy these days? Are there less of them around? I used to pick them up all day long for $500 back around 2000-2005. Now it seems like everybody wants $1500+ for just a hull and hood. just sayin' and wondering.

With all the a/m hulls around it is weird that RN hulls are hard to find in the first place. Prices seem to be through the roof which is why it was easier to find a complete ski to start over with.

I will throw my opinion out there. My six foot long AM hull with a 2 gallon tank is great at the end of the dock, but is just too hard to ride for any amount of time. I know there are guys that can do it, but whether its getting old or not being in good enough shape, I need a stock superjet or a waveblaster to cruise around on. Most guys have enough parts to buy a hull and put it back together cheaper than buying a complete ski and use it as a cruiser or backup. I think it may drive up prices. Just my 2 cents.

pre 08 hulls are easy to find but 08+.. good luck for anything close to reasonable. A few years ago I was looking and finally found one after about 6 months. In that time I bet I found 4 total and all over $2500. Keep in mind most of them are in really good shape. Most pre- 08 hulls I see look really crappy! ..not to mention expensive like you said.

You could also ask yourself why 1996-2013 SuperJets are going for over $5k. The simple answer to your question is, it's not 2005 anymore and people are paying the prices you see. It also heavily depends on what is included with the hull.

I believe it is heavily determined on condition and what comes with the hull. There are so many variables on pricing because each little part adds value, condition, paperwork, and year. I personally have never been able to sell a hull, pole, and misc parts in the 4 digit range. But then you see a 2013 hull minus engine, pump, etc sell for $2500 the same day. It all depends on what someone is looking for.

Simple answer...because people are paying it.
I think it is condition. Some people still want pre 08 hulls, but those are becoming harder to find in really good condition all stock. So when do you find one, you pay a premium.
Look at the nasty looking hulls, they don't really sell.

And as far as the aftermarket hulls and swapping superjet parts, I don't think people are doing that much anymore. If they are going AM hull, they peice it together with AM parts. No more stripping the superjet and selling the hull.
