Blaster Rockered Blasters in Daytona?

I know this is a topic change, but I am trying to build a nice hx surf ski. I just got the hull. I plan on getting the light weight hood but my question is would the rocker kit for the blaster be close to the hx? I know it won't be an exact fit but maybe if its close some slight adjustments in glass work could make it fit. I like those kits for the blasters just always been a hx guy and got away from them for a while but about to build another one and get out riding on it. Any info would be helpful.

This is an interesting idea. I spent a ton o time on them back when they where new. I remember they where way narrower than a B1 ? And all joking aside I'm thinking you would need to shorten it like 12" or more? Could be a cool build keep us posted.

Anyone with a stock length blaster or one with a small cut down, can u measure how long your ski is from the nose to tail and post up the length.

My stock B1 is 96" long and my rocker and shorten project sitting next to it is exactly 85" long. I hope to have my new computers going next week here at the shop and I'm gonna start a thread on the build and finally post some pics of progress.

Very nice!! There will be a lot of modifying to get the hx down in length. My goal is to be close to or just a bit shorter if possible than a stock blaster.

How long is a stock HX? I'm thinking just shy of 10'? Lol will you need to move the pump forward to get it short enough? Or possibly take way more off the front if everything will fit inside the hull still? I remember the pipe-water box combo where kinda big on those I think? Can't wait to see it in Daytona next year.
We have this kit/mold on the way over from Australia to 701 Industries USA right now. We'll be offering rocker kits for sale very soon. Same kit the boys down under have been using on the skis they're flipping down there. We'll be taking preorders soon.
