Custom/Hybrid Rockered superchicken winter project

Hey guys i figured I'd do a write up similar to ltr171's build on his superchicken! His pictures inspired me to do something with my beat up hull! I figured i have nothing to lose at this point and it already needs a bunch of repairs. Plan is to rocker the front and reinforce the bad spots. 750 small pin, factory seadoo pipe chamber with Steve's custom adapter for water injection, dual sbn 44's or a single 46sbn and whatever other goodies i pick up along the way!

Trying to strip it right now but there is 4" of ice in the hull so its not going too quick! It will take me a most of the winter for sure

Hopefully your rockered chicken wont delaminate in huge sheets while riding like ltrs did hahaha. I'll never forget watching 3x3 sheets of 1708 delaminating while he was riding it. Quite a site indeed haha

Well i was off to a good start. Stripped it day one and pressure washed the worst of the poop off it.. cut a bit of the tray out to remove waterlogged foam. removed a few previous patches very easily on the section where i had to cut. Measured every 2" in the front and started cutting. Well the hull is definitely in worse shape than i anticipated because 2 of the sections fell right out. That just means more work i guess!

Definitely reinforce the entire hull. Especially the seat hinge area after what happened to the last chicken. Can't wait to see the progress.

Just to make it a more playful hull. Rides up the waves instead of just plowing into them. And i like the oem hull. I like the looks of it as well. I have another 750 swapped chicken for my wife to cruise as well so this will be my wavejumper

Yes i have a few options here. Complete coffman 750 setup and one I slapped together just before winter using a factory seadoo hx chamber, Steve Hitchkiss's custom adapter with adjustable water injection and an aftermarket seadoo waterbox. Going to remove the doghouse and line it up straight so i can run a 2nd fuel tank.. i was getting more rpm out of this setup than the coffman pipe. Didn't have must time to play with it because winter hit quick up here north of the boarder

The hull is too wide and too flat to ever land big jumps without breaking your back. Make sure you can stand up easily for the hard landings.

Sorry for the slow updates I have been crazy up here in the north. With storms chasing and christmas poop. Here's a few pics. Sanded 80% of the hull down. Had to build up on the Chines because they were missing in some spots from some old poopty repairs. Shaped the front and put 1 layer of glass on the bottom. Filled the cracks in with a thickened epoxy resin and put a few layers of glass on the inside. 1 can of spray foam to start shaping it and hopefully I'll have the worst of the front end done! Ordering some more supplies so i can get at this thing hard before shoulder surgery in February
