First cancellation of SX ever in 50 years of running. They say they are going to go back on Feb. 18th when the regular "bye week" occurs.

No crystal ball... but I was at A1. Pretty sweet to go to that event in person. It didn't help my pics honestly... no way to predict all those crazy crashes and position swaps!

But... I'm not telling my local buddies. We had a group going the last 2 or 3 years with some money at stake. I got so tired of losing last year to a couple of the guys who didnt even try! They would forget to change their picks or they would add guys that were injured... and then somehow get more points than me and I'm over here working it HARD! poop LOL!

Did you seen rookie Julien Beamers(17 and from Havasu and representing Havasu!)qualifying lap time? wtf man, nice! As a rookie ans his first Pro SX race they put him in group B and he qualified 3rd overall lol, amazing!
He's a sleeper in the 250 class, lookout if he can hold it together!
Julien Beamer's Dad is Lillian Beamer, they are from Havasu. Lillian came from France with Nicholas Rius(standup/sitdown world champion) as his tuner and later on he ran a mechanic's ski shop and used parts place here in Havasu for a long time. I have known him for a long time and have bought a ton of parts from him, he also used to program my MSD TL for me. Great guy!
Well here is some secret sauce that you dont hear to much about salaries and what not in SX/MX. I found out from Lillian that when Julien went to KTM a couple months ago as a rookie he gets starting 200K for a season, if he gets injured anytime during race season, he only get 100K of it. I think thats pretty damn good for a 17 year old! So exciting to see him rep Havasu and hear the announcer say it. lol
Julien started riding standups and a child and is a wicked good racer on a ski too... Lillian taught that boy right!

Awesome, I knew Julian was from Havasu and I think I met his dad at body Beach years ago. I've been following him closely. Good on him! And he used to race skis too!
And now I'm in 3 groups in the fantasy... licorice me!
