Yesterday a nice gift arrived from down south and I am excited to start my build thread for 2014. This thread will document my DVX build as well as Roo's new paint job on his KDX 1200.
For specific specs on Roo's KDX http://www.x-h2o.com/index.php?threads/roos-x-scream-kdx-1200-build.131160/
On to my build...Last year I rode a Superfreak Badass hulll for the summer and loved it. It was a great all around ski. After riding the ski for the season and then riding some other skis, I realized I wanted something a little more flatwater specific. My decision came down to the DVX and the circus. To be honest, I lot of my decision came down to price. For me, the DVX was a good deal because the pole was included with the price. Not to mention the fit and finish of these hulls is unreal. Please don't take this as a bash on Superfreak skis, this is just me personally.
My experience with XSCREAM was great to say the least. I never thought I would be shocked when I received everything yesterday, but I was. I was amazed at the attention to detail and care that was put into each product they sent back to me. One quick example, I also sent my ss865 motor down to get updated/refreshed into the new SS900. Rick called and asked if I wanted a new head that said SS900 (my original said SS865). He said it was going to be $250 or something. Me being a tight wad and not really caring what my motor had written on it, said no. Opened up the tote yesterday and and nice new shiny SS900 head. I know its not a big deal, but the fact that they went out of their way to do this shows what type of company they are. They definitely care about what comes out of their shop and want their stuff to look good. My motor looks like it is brand new.
