Custom/Hybrid Rookie Backie Chan Help

Hey guys, I just bought Jacks Backie Chan and im looking to buy a Blaster 2 pump in it before the mag, just so I can get it in the water haha.. Couple questions you can hopefully help with:

1. Whats the best trim to fit for the blaster pump
2. Willl it fit with a SJ mid shaft housing
3. Best prop for a JetManiac 720 motor
4. Ideas on E Box mounting (yes ive checked the thread of awesomeness haha)

I did, figured id kill 2 birds with 1 stone for sake of quick reply, buying pump in the morning and wanted to make sure it wasnt a waste of a pump for the hull

our local guys did not have good luck with a stock 155. but these guys were running full jones php 898.

Is the hull setup for a 155 or 144? I would think you'll want a 144 or 148 mag for that size engine

Set up for a 155 pump, thats why I was thinking OEM due to motor size and i was going to change pump to mag down the road along with prop

I figured it was, but just asking. It'll get you by, but you'll need a mag pump. Aaaaand a 900cc stroker . Buy the blaster pump. Call Jetmaniac on thd prop, ride, upgrade as you can.

he resolved it by going to a 155 mag sleved to a 148, out of a old blaster race boat. He was having issues with hook up on the stock 155. The Op would be better off with a 144 mag or 148 mag compared to a 155 stock.

A solas 144 mag is plenty. We are running one with our TPE 964 (on a chan) that makes big power, and it works well.

he resolved it by going to a 155 mag sleved to a 148, out of a old blaster race boat. He was having issues with hook up on the stock 155. The Op would be better off with a 144 mag or 148 mag compared to a 155 stock.

The shoe is for a 155 and im not going to redo it with fiberglass work.. How else do I make it work? I already have a fully set up 144mag pump from old ski.

Beautiful ski by the way, but Jacks ski is set up for a 155 shoe. I have a fully set up 144 mag if there was a way to adapt without fiberglass

We are machining a ring right now that will size a 155 jd shoe down to fit a 144 because new phantom fits 155 shoe only

Alright sounds good. I have a B2 155 on the way so I'll have to see between the two with some testing and some play

As for your e-box question , myself and some others have mounted it behind the carbs. Measure about 4 inches from the rear fire wall the rear of the ebox should start there . Make sure you mount it high enough to clear the exhaust but low enough so that your plug wires are not rubbing the underside of the hood lip. You will need to use conical washers and tap your ebox with 8mm 25 mm long. Kart supply sites seem to have a good number of options (color wise ) for your washers. If you a front foot this is your best option. Pablo used a cold fusion e box mount and looked very Sano if you don't want to mount it directly to the side ...... i took the cheap route

Side ebox mount had been cool, but if u don't have a ffh and don't plan on it then just put it in normal location. I fabbed a bracket out of Lexan on my first chan.
