Jet Ski Double Back flip
Ross Champion tries a double back-flip on his personal watercraft.
Monday, May 14 10:00 PM Eastern
Duration: 30 minutes
Discovery:
Episode 32: JET SKI™ DOUBLE BACKFLIP
Ross Champion would like to be the first personal watercraft rider to complete a double backflip on his ski. The mechanics of a backflip on a motorized ski are very different from that of a motorcycle or bicycle. Specific preparation of the ski to do the stunt will include adding a trim nozzle to the ski. When Ross pulls a lever on the handlebars, this will tilt the nozzle on the end of the ski pump to about 30-35 degrees, which will help him to achieve the extra rotation that is required to complete two flips. The double backflip will require pulling very hard off the top of the wave, and Ross will have to hang on to keep from separating from the ski. Furthermore, he will need to be strong enough to absorb the impact from falling out of the air from 25 feet up. This stunt from Ross Champion will be amazing! Premiere: May 14, 2007
