A freind of mine has a 1996 SJ for sale, its got a factory dry pipe ( or type 9) NOT B pipe, solas impeller, buckshot 44 carbs, bilge and the basic stuff.

is it worth $3000?

it is REALLY clean, with a low hour fresh trued and welded crank and fresh bore/top end.

Wiseco pistons, protec head, water injection, jettrim mats, graphics decals, UMI bars and throttle, Boyeson reeds, adjustable modified stock CDI.

Ive been wanting to get it for a while, but it seems like alot of $$$ for an old ski, but I dont think I could duplicate it for that much money.

any input from you guys?

I give the round noses three different values. This is for stock ski's of same condition/wear.

96-97 2-2.5k Costs money to lose the purple, Ski's are getting old.
98-03 2.5-3.5k Love the blue
04-06 4-5.5k Black looks sweet.

Speak up ,don't kiss azz
It does cost some money to lose the purple .
The very first thing I did to my 97 was strip all the purple off and stock stickers .
It looked real nice after that .

I paid $2500 for my 97 with a stock motor and about $1000 in handling mods and real clean so $3000 with a b pipe sounds about right to me :cool2:

Wave $2500 in his face :sneaky:

Ill get in touch with him, and prepare the wife.

I had been thinking about an older metric cruiser, but a newer SJ might be fun too.

then I could sell off a beater squarenose
