RRP Bar extensions.

anybody run these extensions? I have been running them the past 4 years cut down to about 1" extension. I decided to remove them today. I was actually having trouble keeping my lock on grips tight ( this just started - but I replaced the rings recently- the were not clamping as tight in the ends) the extensions appear to be a little narrower. In doing this, I got to wondering if the wider bar setup has been effecting my rolls some..... anyone else run these? Thoughts

never have but always wondered how they held onto the bars and the grip clamps.
i would think the wider bars would help with rolls?

They have a center boot that expands as you tighten it. Gonna ride without them and see if I can feel a difference

I bought a set of the wider bars from ATP so I wouldn’t have to mess with extensions coming loose.

It's not them coming loose. Its the bar clamps not getting tight enough due to the extension being a smaller diameter.

Regardless, a once piece bar still resolves the issue, and if I remember correctly, the ATP bars were the same price if not cheaper than the extensions.

I bet you miss the extra width, I know I did.

You could slap some heat shrink over your bars under the grip collars to give them something to fill the gap and snug them up.

Bk I ran extensions cut the same as u on my rrp bars and hated them went back to stock width with odi locks. Like the standard width better. But I don’t do rolls I just started flipping a bit at the end of last winter. I guess it’s all personal preference.

Gonna try the ski without, anybody know the width of the XMetal Bars? I was always fine with that width.

depending on how loose they are,you could have them knurled to increase diameter.

Remove a hair of material from the rings where they pinch with sandpaper. I used a 3” roloc sanding disc on like a 2” mandrel and worked perfectly. Had same problem.

I had thought of that also. Experimenting now.
