Surfriding RRP billet vs cast pole?

The difference between the cast and billet is that you dont have to run a spring in the billet RRP pole, you can just crank the pole bolt down super tight.. so it is stronger than the cast. I was told by steve at fast elements that the cast pole can possibly crack under the pressure..
I run no spring in a cast pole but I use the rrp pole spacer so I can crank it as tight as I want it, but I run it tight enough so when the pole is up it doesnt fall down by itself. Never had issues

Not to get off topic, but I wish a pole would come out that will change the bend, or make the bend adjustable. Flatwater guys running shorter poles have issues with the bend location. A hate the look of any pole way outside the hood, due to bend location. Just sayin..

I recently came across a billet pole online where the angle at the top was fully adjustable, I wanna say bun pole

StarBar's are absolute junk, know one should buy one. I've had mine for a year or two and I've had to totally redesign the steering because the bushing system they use wore out. The coating they use on the cast ends is all flaking off, and the cast itself seems to be splitting somehow. And u can't run air intakes through them either. Wasted me money
