I have personally been on a ski with an 1100 and PFP run wet. The bottom and mid is definitely better but it falls away fast. Changed it back to dry pipe setup same day and it's much better though the upper power band. Just my .02

Into the 2nd season with my RRP setup, 100% tuned, zero regrets and so light with much better response than my PFP which I was sure was cracked inside to I sold it to Hink. He tested it and said it was fine, still I was happy to get rid of the PFP because it never ran right 100% and ate couplers for lunch until I got creative and designed my own inner couplers.

That's good to know, I ride in UAE with extremely hot weather as you all know, the engines overheat most of the time and carbon chambers don't hold up well. They tend to lose power after 15mins of riding and as I mentioned before they crack due to overheating. Anyone running the RRP in hot weather? Feedback please.

Been running the carbon pipe for two seasons now with no issues. Summer in Havasu is 110 plus with water Around 85.

Forget running water injection, The pipe will not get up to temp fast enough after you turn the water off.
using a carbon pipe, wouldnt the temp change faster than a alum dry pipe with water in the jacket controlling temp as well? thats how all the old msd injection systems were used back in the day.

iceman,100 deg water is gonna require much larger jetting to work in a carbon pipe, what kinda motor temps are you getting with that? Ive tried using water outa the motor over board line in fall here,im sure it was over 100 deg and the pipe never overheated,id think you would have much worse problem with motor overheating than pipe in that situation.

weather is 104 F with 34% humidity ........ water temp is between 93 to 104 mid day ......

I am not far from you. Come May here or the start of the summer I just go back to 701s and save the billet motors. Dasas run really hot here in the summer and easily smoked as the water temp is close to bath temp! I have a RRP carbon pipe on my XFS, first few rides in and all is cool. Temps crashed here in Oman though with winter on the way. UAE gets really hot if i remember. Maybe hotter sea temps than here.

Installed the RRP on a highly modified, but stock bore/stroke 701. The thing is somewhat loud, but produces a lot of power across the entire range. No reliability issues in over 100 rides. Well worth the money.

Is there a thread on tuning these PFP pipes or RRP pipes? I was hoping for no tuning required, all though tuning a B-pipe is soooo easy and makes the biggest difference out of any mod i did to my 701. I wish i learned about tuning a pipe 10 years ago!

It comes with instructions and spray nozzle if you buy complete from RRP.

I know this is an old thread but has anyone switched from a B-pipe to an RRP and needed to re-jet their carbs? Ive got a 771 with 46mm carbs and was wondering how much tuning would be needed..

Did the same switch on a 8mil
