Super Jet RRP pole installation problems

Hey guys,

Please could somebody give me some help, I had a 2nd hand RRP dual breather bracket and bought a brand new billet pole for my superjet.

I am having issues getting the pole into the bracket, the pole with the bushes are too thick? What would cause things, have I got a mis match of parts or something? It only came with one set of bushes?

Check the photos, also the instructions that came with my pole are all for the 95-97 model but the part number is correct I think, fitting it onto a 2008 SJ.

New bushings are a pain. they look like the correct ones. It is easier if you install the bottom of the pole into the bracket first so there isnt as much weight on it. Also has to be very straight when going in. I used silicone lube when I put mine on for the first time.

Also try turning the two end pieces on either side.Unbolt the two pieces and flip them 180 degrees and try it again.

I got lucky when I did mine.

Best tip I was told for getting it in,
Line it up just how it looks in your first pic but tilt it a bit towards the tray. Then give it a firm whack downward on the front of the pole base with the palm of your hand. If it slips out of place a bit, realign it and try again.

Took me 3 tries with this technique and it slipped right in.

Hope this helps

We've had this with a lot of our RRP poles. We just take a flapper wheel and take a little bit off the bushings to get perfect fitment

Looks like the same ones I used, I installed onto a blowsion bracket tho. Do the bushings stick out past the bracket so bad they just wont fit at all? The edges on my bracket lined up directly with the chamfer edge on the bushing and slid into place fairly easily with a few whacks.
Maybe try a light sanding or grind on each bushing as TPain said if you still cant get it. I think some of my buddies did this with theirs.

Hey Guys,

Got it in! Took around 1-2mm off each bush and then lubed it up and wacked it in!

Next problem! I have the stock spring and a blowsion spring, which one should I use and does anybody have a picture for me showing me exactly how it should look?

Thanks

I personally run the Blowsion spring but either will work. On our cast poles we always had to drill out where the spring end goes into the front of the pole and then we had to cut a little off the part that lays in the spring holder. I'll see if I can get a pic for ya.
