Other RRP pole trouble

I am having some trouble on my rrp pole. I am using an atp pole bracket with the new lightweight rrp pole. Every time I lower and raise the pole, it pushes the tubes that go through the bracket further and further down into the hull. Has anyone else experienced this and what can I do to fix it?

Another question a little off topic but how should I seal the trim cable where it goes through the hull

Use like 5 per tube all connected the heads will keep itfrom slipping down.

vacuum tube caps, carefully split for cable and zip tied both ends. put one on each side of tube

Yup, zip ties does the trick. I've never had to use them with the RRP bracket but its recommended in the installation instructions. No experience with the ATP bracket.
