If you don't use it, I'd get a good laugh at the photo of you holding your bars and top cast piece as they slide right off the tubes. I've seen it happen more than you'd think....gets funnier each time

i use mine, but ive never needed it. salt water makes em stay in one spot reaaaal good

I don't use mine. After cutting 6" off the tubes, turns out the safety rod doesn't even fit now..
