Was that a guess, or did you actually weigh it? Impressive if that hurricane is in DVX weight territory.
My last Hurricane was 232 rtr and this one was a lighter layup so I'm am guessing but I'm also guessing high. I would honestly say it's probably closer to 225. We weighed Zacks carbon circus and it was I think around 222 and both of our builds were almost identical in weight.

Nice man ^, I started with a 55 lb hull added couch mounts, Dasa 5mm 900, Factory Type 4, , MSD TL, 148 skat w/billet driveshaft, Thrust Pro trim, TDR waterbox, 7lb Yuasa battery with Xmetal comp pole. Hull came in at 261 full (2g), so I figure I'm around 245 dry weight. I must have done something wrong. What do you guys think?

You guys should try and show pictures while there on the scale (i know its a pain but pictures are proof). I really love hearing so many skis around that 230 mark but I also know that's a VERY difficult mark to make for builders. I got a pretty interesting project this year that if done right we could be under 220. but thats also high expectations.

Are the builders not building a thinner lighter hull just for competitions? Sure it wont be a strong, but it only has to be strong enough for 30-60 minutes of tuning and competition time.

^with billet pole bracket, battery tray, pump shoe, midshaft, couch mounts. Maybe it was more like 65 lbs to start out with?

Eme q8. 280# on the dot rtr with 2/3 tank of fuel. I'm at a hefty 220#....that's gonna have to change lol.

Yeah im sure that there a limit for hos light a ski can be made and still stand. Of couse if a hull is made shorter, there is a saving in the material not needed. But there sure is a limit pr sq/in of how much carbon is needed, to take the beating a ski gets, and i dont think hulls under 35lbs like hurricane/dvx/circus size will hold up to non pro rider, yet not even a pro pulling huge combos.
