Rule bilge Pump problem

what causes this?? this happen once a year. since i run two i leave it until the winter tear down. if i did replace it right away i would probably go through more. whats wrong.

that is almost exactly what happened to mine
of course the original one was quiet a few years old and used alot
the second one was brand new, lasted maybe 20 mins out
guess it happens

Sorry dont remember exactly which attwood, a little larger diameter than the rule's but still fit well, one beside the coupler and one infront of the motor, always fused too, although the fuses never popped!

I got the Attwood Tsunami 500 GPH pump in my ski, I like it so far, only have a few hours on it so far but you can take the entire pump apart, like you unhook it from the base, and then you can take the motor/impeller out of the case. It seems like it would come in hand in case you get it a styrofoam kernel or whatever stuck in it like I did on an old Rule pump I had one time.

funny you should mention it I just put a new 500 gph rule in a new ski and kept blowing the fuse started at 5 and when it blew a 10amp rewired everything and still blowing fuses so I put an amp meter on the motor it self it was pulling 5 amps under no load it is being replaced under warranty, have a 360 in my other ski that runs whenever the ski is in the water thats 3 years old.
