remove your tool kit and foam, glue down some turf and bungee it down. where the tool kit was

i have mine under the shaft bolted it down next to the oe one , 6 years going strong . i used 1100 , 750 takes to long after a sub or if hood comes off , never know

I'm sure it'll be fine for me, already glassed over the original front breather, and versiplug is on her way, plus i now have hood straps, so we should be ok!

We have a lake front cabin out there, so the tools stay in the garage and it's not too big of a deal!

Same here. I use this toolkit almost every time I am on the lake. Usually something happens when were are way out there. It has saved our ass many times. Mine stays in the hull:biggrin:

What thru hull fitting did you use? the 1100 has a 1-1/8'' hose barb.

Id like to run a 750, because i have a 3/4'' fitting, but wouldnt mind running an 1100.

I use the 3/4" fitting with my 1100...just get a reducer for the hose. The water shoots out like 7 feet from the hull!

Most people 5200 them to the bottom of the hull down by midshaft.

My suggestion is don't use silicon or 5200 they come loose eventually. Get the devcon 2 part plastic welder and it's there for life.

I have 2 500 rule and they have lasted fine with 5200 but I will try the plastic welder this time.

I was more curious on how the rulemate 750 fit, as it's much larger than a traditional 500 rule
