Super Jet Runs like crap after 10 minutes. Stator? CDI?

Erm ht leads snipped the ends refitted caps checked there not a bit dodgy, started running a direct feed to carbs as I didn't no if my fuel switch might be playing up so just took the lot out of the equation, removed the temp sensor to make sure it wasn't running bad as it was overheating. Checked exhaust for exhaust leaks, even tried it with hood not unhooked but unlatch end and lifted to see if it clears but nothing!

I had a torn diaphragm on the fuel pump side of the carb that caused mine to run erratic all the time. It was a tiny rip and hard to see.

Was that constantly running bad tho? Because this runs like a dream for 10 then a nightmare! Was thinking of getting. Carbs off and checking for

in there and checking the pop off but I could only imagine if that was the case it would run bad all the time??! I changed my flywheel over fairly recently not running a total loss or anything like that but could there be an issue with that ???

It would run good for a bit then stumble for a bit then open back up again. There wasn't much of a pattern to it and I figured the Carbs were dirty. I think there is a test you can do on the charging system to see if its in spec. I will have to check my manual when I get back home.

Hey I just got back and checked that manual and it was a test for the starter not the stator. I was skimming thru a couple weeks ago and must have misread. After a bit of searching I'd say your probably need to try replacing the CDI.

I've just finished playing this exact same game with my ski. I tried a new stator, new CDI, new (chinese) igntiion coil amongst other things. After I was just about to give up and pay someone to figure it out I ordered a genuine coil from JetManiac and it was like new again!

Don't bother with cheap coil go genuine!

And I was thinking of starting with stator as I swapped out the flywheel not long back and I noticed it had been wet in there before so though migh have a bit of rust in the pickup coils maybe?
Annoying there's three different pieces here and none are cheap lol just my luck
