I was a little worried about the salt in Daytona. I remember when I was a kid I used to boogieboard or whatever and my eyes would always hurt like sin. I was surprised that I never really noticed in Daytona, even after a wave rolled me and my ski.

However, sunday AM the saltwater did make me sick. I was cold to start with, and it was my first time riding since October, then I accidently swallowed a load of saltwater and it made me sick. After that I was pretty much knocked on my ass for the majority of the day.:frown:

It seams like the salt content in Daytona is much less than it is in the Gulf East of the Mississippi, Galveston seems about like Daytona.

Maybe, since we get all the muddy crap from the Mississippi then it may dilute some of the salt content/levels.

Just a guess.

I love the salt water. Used to drink it as a kid along the beaches of jersey. Maybe that's what wrong with me:bigeyes:

I get the best of both worlds i live on lake lanier,GA and and we have a condo in fort walton beach,FL
