Super Jet salvaging a b pipe & stator?

A thought on the pipe. I know Paul Lehr (?) on the site used to repair these, also you may want to contact a machine shop about drilling or possibly machining them out. The key is to not hit the seat area with the drill bit, as well as go in squarely. Did you also ask FPP if they could repair this for a fee? Looks like they won't replace it under warranty, thanks for asking.

Factory pipe wasn't interested in repairing, discounting a new one, taking this back a a core, etc. No, nothing, nadda! "lack of maintenance"

I did get the air grinder out tonight and took a little material off the pipe to see if I could find the outer diameter of the screw and kind of "re-center" myself. Check these pics. I am really tempted to go for it with a set of Left handed drill bits and a screw extractor. The bigger issue is if get the screw out, the metal shavings and everything else are going to be somewhat stuck in the water jacket, which in theory could clog the holes someday anyways.

Some were talking about these aftermarket screws that people have made, I neglected to ask, but are these a bigger thread then the originals? Then I can hopefully retap and be good, just have to pray the "new" hole is on center.
