It is not owned by SBT. The company/owner that owns SBT, also owns HT as a separate company.

They should just convert Black tip to a new pattern for HydroTurf and do away with it.

I am kinda wondering if the sewers at HT will now be sewing up the Blacktip seat covers, it would make sense to streamline and combine the two even if the brands were kept separate.

The SBT crank in my Fx1 is 10 years old. I've had to replace the Hydro-turf 3 times since I bought that crank.

So SBT/BlackTip buys out hydroturf then never ships hydroturf again. Destroy the competition, not devour the competition.

This in not well known but years ago WSM had a division called New York Crankshaft that rebuilt crankshafts and complete engines much the same as SBT does, I Installed many of these engines without one single failure . Then SBT bought that division out, apparently they had to sign some kind of non competing clause because after they they did not sell reman cranks for many years, they still no longer sell reman engines. Things did not improve at SBT after they bought out the competition I would not expect any improvement here either.
