sicki

Ride hard, put away wet!
Any body seen these (SBT delrin lined impeller housing for yam 144mm pump), used these, or have any opinion, i need to replace my impeller housing. Stock is somewhere around $165 retail. I can get 20% off of this price (something to consider regarding quality!!)

Thanks,
Joe

Can you post a link to the part you are talking about? Is it the housing where the stainless wear ring is? I don't have much experience with Yami pumps, I only know what kawi pumps are all about.

I want one, didn't know they were out yet. if they hold up like a seadoo they should be fine. only prob I have seen is if you get a lot of sand in there they chew up a little or other debris. but for the 40 dollars or so to swap it like on a SD. verses the stainless price I would give it a shot.

I have an aftermarket nylon wear ring assembly in my round nose for about 2 years now with no problems. Its not an sbt its an other brand I think its wsm but dont remember for sure. Its worked out just fine for me. My ski is a 96 sj with a moded motor.

The difference between the 144mm SJ/Waveblaster 1 (6R7) pump liner and the 144mm waverunner III, 701 waveventure (6R8) is the SJ/Waveblaster 1 has 6mm threads in the housing for the long nozzle bolts to thread into, the 6R8 has just straight hole and the nozzle bolts are longer and bolt into the pump shoe. Also the 6R7 liner has dowel pin holes in the mounting flanges to help achieve some preload on the rubber packing ring for sealing as the 6R8 bolts up with no packing directly to the pump shoe, hence no dowel pins.
A 6R8 liner will work if you install heilicoils in the frontside holes and push the pump tight against the packing when tightening the pump bolts.
