Lil update.

Replaced my bendix bushings in the case and cover and got the engine back together. Fired it up a couple of times and everything seems to be working again. Also made a few small modifications to get my tank to sit better. It was wanting to rotate in the hull and wedge up against the pipe. We've been getting snow/sleet this week again Keeping my fingers crossed I can ride this weekend.

I have about 4 hrs ride time on the ski now. Much less than I was hoping for, but work has been crazy busy this spring and I already bummed up my shoulder this year on the moto bike so I've had to take it easy for the last couple weeks. I'm still continuing to get my powerplant tuned in. It's getting close and I happy with the power it's starting to make. Since the last time I rode I re-worked my trim ring- it was getting stuck in the down position and the little tab that is suposed to stop it. I also had to modify the footholds as they were a little too loose for my feet. Hopefully now I'll feel a little more secure and have the confidence to start going for some tricks. I had been riding without a limit rope too, so I made one last weekend for it. As far as I'm concerned the ski is now complete, just needs to be dialed in.



Also snagged this beach cart and a folding AC stand from a old racer that responded to my WTB CL add. $125 for the pair!

Got a couple rides in this weekend. Footholds feel much better now. I tried some slide 180 flips after watching several videos of people doing this lately... Hard to tell how much rotation I'm getting, but it doesn't feel much past half way. Also had a couple weak attempts off a set-up wake with about the same result... landing on my head LOL. I'm having fun tho, and learning more every time I ride. I definitely need more time practicing setup wakes so I get a consistent wave to hit every time. I'll be the first one to admit its a lot tougher than it looks watching someone else flip. Still have some dialing in to do on the engine so hopefully I still have a bit more Braap to find. Sucks riding by myself... noone to flim or take pics or even give me suggestions or hi-fives or anything!

I'm in LaCrosse. I just had a friend move from here to Shakopee a week ago. He has a SN so we'd both be interested in meeting some guys to ride with in the twin cities area. My parents also live on Madison Lake, 15miles away from Mankato and have a pretty nice beach and yard if you guys ever wanted to make a trip down.

I get a little nervous about being out there by myself, but I always have my lid on and there is usually a fair amount of boat traffic on the river so I'd hope someone would step in if something happened.

I plan on making the Sortie. Wanted to go last year but had scheduling conflicts. Why hasn't the Sortie thread been updated here yet and whats with all the b!tching going on between the TCjetpilots on the other site. I was planning on becoming a member but am re-thinking it now. I just dropped out of the motorcycle club I'm in this year cause all they did was b!tch at each other.

Sounds like there will be a handful of aftermarket hulls in the twin cities area this summer. Didn't know another BOB was coming tho. Gen1 or 2?

As far as the controversy goes it all stems from the Wakeheads videos that we've been making the past two seasons. It's kind of hard to explain, but it is mostly just internet bitching. In person and on our group rides everyone gets along great, and we always have a blast. I'm not sure why the thread hasn't been updated on the X yet. We had been planning on moving the Sortie back to the St. Croix, but the venue fell through. So we switched it back to Lake City, and that is why things have been moving slowly as far as the planning goes.

Installed a JSS coil and rethought my ignition curve for the EPIC. Ski is running pretty good now. Still need to do some experimenting with pipe settings but I think I'm getting close. Here are a few pics of my brother and me messing around.

dang.. im in minnesota and I cant find a bob anywhere.. I want one so bad but I dont have the money to order a complete ski or the knowlege to build one. My only choice is to find a new one and there are NONE around here hahaha.

You can get used bobs for $2500 + shipping. I just bought a Gen 1 carbon for $3300 shipped. check out these people (516) 528-6374 they are in NY and have bob hulls come in and out of there. Shipping is around $200 - $300
