So I grabbed a couple as well. They are definitely smaller than the VP jugs. Either my local gas pump was off or these jugs are not 5 gallons. I was at 4.4 when I hit the 5 on the side and couldn't squeeze a drop more than 4.6 gals in. I'm going to treat them like a 4 gallon jug. Anyone else experience anything similar?

mine holds 5...?
i measure but numbers on the pump and not the can.
maybe your pump is doling out free/extra gas?

Mine fit 5 gallons, verified by weight and volume. I can fit 31.35 lbs of 91 non-ethanol inside each jug. They fill to about halfway up the taper and hit the #5 mark dead-on.

I got the blue jug and it fits 5gallon and has a little room left over to put in the oil.

Contact Scribner for a replacement. One of mine had a leak along the top lip and they shipped me a new jug and cap at no cost. Email chris (at) scribnerplastics.com with photos and a description of your problem. I believe he owns the joint.

Thank you for this, I sent Christ an email this morning and he responded very promptly to say they would send me a replacement.

Picked one of these up and actually not impressed for $28. While yes, it fits the fly racing jug holder but it’s a sloppy fit. 3/4”-1” gap all around. Handle and vent isn’t as nice as others brands either.

For $5 more I’d rather have gotten another VP jug.

May not matter to others but figured to update in case anybody else was in same boat I was.

Sadly, I've had nothing but trouble with VP jugs leaking at races. Can't win 'em all, I guess.

The cost savings on a Scribner here is if you're buying in bulk. One jug isn't going to save much cash.
