Surfriding scupper help(24/7 scupper)

i have a 24/7 scupper installed on my ski and the rubber flapper is bad and i can not find a replacement for it,can i take the whole scupper cover off and replace it with an rrp scupper or what , any suggestions would be helpful,i am thinking i will just glue it shut and wire my bilge to run with my ski.

thanks man,i actually think i might get a versa plug and ditch the scupper altogether,i was just reading about this topic and the votes are in :

versa plug=good
scupper = bad

actually scuppers are good. It boils down to your riding style. I use to compete, I want the water out as fast as possible. There is nothing that removes water as fast as a scupper. downside, they leak, mine leaks alot. just dont leave ski floating for more than a few minutes and have a good bilge pump!

I had duel scuppers and switched to the versiplug max, they arnt as big, and less pron to fail IMO as long as you keep them clear of debris. I put a SS mesh in front of it to keep stuff from getting in between the ball and keeping it open. And when I am in the surf, I have rubber stoppers I put in the hull to disable them completely

Its a little bit of a pain just depends on how you set your current one. On my Q8 the wamiltons scup was siliconed in so after awhile I worked it out. I only had to slightly enlarge the hole for the new epic scupper.
