scupper valve help!!!

i have two scupper valves in my 98 superjet i bought it with them already in there, the rubber flaps on them are both leaking (one has a huge slice in it from who knows what) theres no markings on them to say what brand they are or anything of that matter but i need to find two rubber flaps for them... is there an alternative thing i could some how use or should i take a picture and see if anyone has seen them before

thanks

Typically you can turn the flaps over to get that seal back since the rubber gets a form of memory and doesn't go back to closed as well as it did when new. The one with a slice is another story though. Where and how big will play big roles in whether that flap is reusable.

the one is definitly unreusable and since i need a new one i was just gonna order both, the other one is flipped already but the one thats cut is useless and lets water in like crazy (so i ended up siliconing it shut for a little while but now im rebuilding the whole thing so it time to do it right), ill get a pic later tonight and post up

how a rubber flap that is resessed get a huge slice is beyond me all i know is that how it was when i bought it

I think i heard of someone using a computer cd for a flap on here. there was a post about it somewhere.

The Cd was used to get a thin layer of silicone to cure perfectly smooth on the hull, then removed. This left a nice smooth surface for the scupper to seal against.
