this may be really fun... I'll have to look into maybe getting this 951, but we'll see.
I was thinking the same thing about the "snorkel" type flame arrestors..
Anyone know the stock HP ratings of a 951?
130 claimed. With just arrestors and basic tuning, you can get a 950 to push an XP into the mid 60's. I dunno about fitment but the stock pipe may be a better option on a freeride ski. With the 950's, there are really only 5 different pipe setups.
Stock grey motor, good bottom and easy to tune. A good allround no fuss pipe. (seadoo's aren't like yammies, their stock pipes are better designed than half the AM superjet pipes!)
Stock white motor, different manifold and header. Makes more power a bit higher. Suits modded motors better.
Coffmans, Dry pipe. can be a bit finnicky to tune, revs hard but makes schit power down low. Most people prop down when running this pipe.
FPP twins (long chamber) big fat power everywhere and will run on stock motors. Complexity and mounting make it pretty much racing use only.
FPP twins (short, or Franko chamber) Racing only. You need a tough big bore to make these work. Silly power on the right engine. (will push an xp into the mid 70's)
Good luck getting any of the twins to fit in a sxr.
