Blaster Sea Doo XP vs Blaster

Hi, I'm new to this site as well as jet ski's, Iv always been a 4 wheel, snowmobile guy, however I have decided to take up the sport.
If anybody would share some information regarding what Jet ski is best for me I would appreciate it.

I will be riding mostly on small in land lakes, I want something small and nimble to play around with.

I have been looking at the 96 XP 787 as well as the wave blaster 1 ( I hear bad things about the WB2???)

Any input on which is better between the two????? is there some other skis I should be looking at besides these 2????

Thanks

either of those are fine, the waveblaster 1 is a "blast", but they are kinda hard to get on and they won't hold your weight when you are stopped, you will fall off. the blaster 2 is fun, and you can sit on them when stopped. the main negative is, the b2 hull sticks to the water and putting mods on it don't make it go much faster. they are pretty fun stock though.

The X2 is alot of fun to ride. You should try to ride something first and get a feel for what you want. Ride a blaster 1 or an X2 and if its too unstable maybe the XP or WB2 is a better choice for you.

Yamaha Blaster > Sea Poo Xp

I have ridden both and the Sea Poo's are guttless and boring. If you are wanting something fun to ride that is a couch, then you might as well get the Blaster.

Let me put it to you like this. Seadoo makes the xp, and yamaha makes the blaster. Not a tough decision if you ask me, lol. Plus the seadoo has that damn DESS crap and every one ive had with DESS has given me problems, and if you go into the seadoo forums everyone else has the same deal. They are BIG trouble and BIG money to fix when they break. I will never own another seadoo. Also the blaster engine interchanges with so many other skis like the SJ, Fx1, and all the A/M hulls, so if you tear it up, or just dont like it, you will have a great donor ski.

since you're going to end up getting a superjet eventually you should get a blaster because all the parts are interchangeable.

I started on a blaster and probably waited longer than I should have to switch to a SJ.

The guys are right about the stand up. I have 2 Blaster B1's for me and the wife to cruise around the flatwater. They get boring and not near the fun of a standup. Now in the ocean is where I really enjoy the Blaster,so much fun in the surf.

the xp you sit low to the water on. They are very fast in my opinion, mine did 54 on gps. I never had any issues with it, and used parts are cheap. That being said I never rode my 96 xp much, so I just sold it. I ride my blaster almost everyday in summer, they carve really well with a rideplate, jump waves way better than an xp.
