either of those are fine, the waveblaster 1 is a "blast", but they are kinda hard to get on and they won't hold your weight when you are stopped, you will fall off. the blaster 2 is fun, and you can sit on them when stopped. the main negative is, the b2 hull sticks to the water and putting mods on it don't make it go much faster. they are pretty fun stock though.

I can jump on my blaster from a dock and sit on it stopped just fine, as long as it's not at least half full of water. If it's full of water, I can do it, but it's not easy.

I'm 6', 220lbs, and the only difference between me and a new rider is years of riding it taught me how to balance on it. It's tough at first, but after the third ride on it I could balance stopped with no problems. At my weight though, I can't get on it from the back if I'm in the surf, but learning to side start isn't hard and solves that problem.

Get a blaster, you won't regret it. Like everyone else has said, they're a gateway drug to a superjet and the parts are mostly interchangeable. Lots of stand up riders here I've seen recently posting that they have 'blaster fever' again and are looking for them. If you can find one for the right price, jump on it, they're disappearing every day.

I started on a seadoo spi (pretty much an xp hull with a gutless 580) then moved on to an hx (basically a seadoo blaster, a one seater with a deep v hull). Then I got a cheap old 550 Kawai stand up to mess with. I got a superjet in 2002 and will never look back, I now have two of them (and the hx still, but it rarely gets used).
