Seadek for Turf?

Has anyone done seadek or marine mat to turf? Thinking about doing something different on my superjet. I have never used or seen either product so not sure how workable it is. Also it is pricey so don't really want to be the guinea pig if it doesn't work well. But I think the brown teak looking turf would look pretty good. No idea on durability vs hydroturf either. But just hoping that someone may have some experience or pictures on a ski. Thanks!

If you look at Hydroturfs website, click on samples , then click mat foam , then click wide groove , then laser woodgrain, they have it in three colors. , also look at the two tone it has 15 different colors

I have a roll of this, (link below) and the quality is good and the adhesive is good. In my opinion the foot grip is not going to as good as a normal jet ski pattern and will be harder to form to the tray corners. FYI I picked up a roll of this on sale for $25.

Have you seen watercraft superstores line of elite traction mat's? Here is the mat on my waveblaster.

If i could find some for $25 i may take a chance. Molding is what i was thinking may be hard compared to regular turf. You going to do anything with it? Im curious your thoughts of using it and riding with it.

Looks great on the blaster. I like switching it up from the regular turf we have been using for years.

My thinking on that wide groove is that you would have to put it with the grooves going from left to right to get decent traction, I am not sure how good that would look.

Agreed to the left right. I am not sure either on looks. I wish someone else did it first haha. They have the narrower groove in the brown tones too which may look better. I am painting the ski a dark metallic blue so I think the dark brown and black would look sharp.

I build stuff all of the time and keep a supply of materials on hand. I have rolls of turf I use for many of my projects. I didn't buy that roll for watercraft use.
Here's a quick google. https://www.google.com/search?q=EVA...Q1MDBqMWoxNagCALACAA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Well finally finished the build and ended up going with the faux teak look.

Went with this from Walmart of all places. Pretty much the same product as everywhere else. I bought a returned a few different choices until I found what I liked as far as color and shape. The one from walmart I was able to get in 94x35 so I could do the tray in one piece and have the diamond go left to right.
Faux Teak Diamond

Also bought this as the accent from amazon.
Black Diamond Molded

I think the product itself is pretty good. No option to get without PSA so hopefully that holds up well. I did use weldwood on the hull and padding and that seemed to help a lot.

Overall I am very happy with the finished product. Definitely different from what I normal do.

I did look into getting sheets of marine mat. The basic sheets were on par with hydroturf. But anything routered like the diamond was $416 a sheet. Just in case anyone was wondering. That was the main reason I went the amazon/walmart route.
