I saw on Facebook that Seadoo BRP has purchased hydrospace/benelli. This could be HUGE for them. It will be very interesting to see what they do with it and how they market it.

It does sound far fetched.
The arguably least reliable of the big three isn't likely going to buy an even less reliable brand to add to their lineup. It would be exponentially cheaper for BRP to design their own hull and use a 900 ACE either with or without turbo.

dang, would love to see the 3D v2
Different animal entirely. The 3D was just a new top deck/hood/seat on top of the existing XPL hull/engine/driveline. It was an inexpensive way to offload old parts and soft-test the market on a new concept. BRP didn't have to (fake) buy another company to make the 3D happen.
Throw an X2 Gen 3 top deck on the '17 SXR hull and you might have something worth buying.
