What are you guys doing to seal up and hold your trim cable in place? The cable obviously slides through the tube in the hull, but I am left with a lot of space for water to flood into my engine compartment.

Are you guys rigging it with fuel hoses or using a special grommet to prevent water intrusion?

Mine came with a couple rubber cable seals. I'll post a picture when I get home and see if I can find a Mcmaster carr part #.

I went to Advanced Auto Parts and found some mickey mouse universal grommets for 2-3$ and rigged up seals on both ends of my trim tube so that if one end fails, the other is still sealed as a back up. This has served me well for 5 years now. Now if I could just find a trim cable that did not break every 1-2 years. LOL

Faucet washers worked great. Not an ounce of water all season.

As mentioned, it comes with a rubber piece to seal the pipe. I have found that wrapping the cable in fuel/waterline helps the cable to last much longer, the grey outer coating is easily chaffed through resulting I rust that eventually collapses the cable housing. The fuel line is chaffe resistant and protects the cable from unwanted wear.
