I prefer launching North Side, by way of carting the ski through the parking lot and down into the Tide pool. It makes for quick easy acsess into the surf. The best place to park is under the Bridge... As long as no one backs a trailer over the curb into the tide pool area, we wont get in any trouble.
You can still launch at the boat ramp, But I dont think there is much beach area left over there anymore.
I way prefer the tide pool area over the boat ramp sludge and hassel personally.

Im out. Got asked to go on a trip to Atlantis, Bahamas real last minute..so im leaving tomorow for the weekend.
Theres an even in naples NEXT weekend called canoe races that Im going to. Some of you guys might like it too. From what I hear its a big party out on the water where you can pull up on the beach or raft up together in the bay.

It is a fun event but don't expect a beach close by. All sea wall on Naples bay. If you have a boat or a couch it isn't an issue but expect to idle the whole day.
After the races (have been going for a few years and saw a 1 canoe, it's just an excuse to party) everyone heads down to Key Waden where the drinking continues till late into the night.
I'm right on Naples bay so if you get sick of floating around just cruise on over.

Bring the Honda, it will make life easy.
Keep in mind that there will be quite a few boats out and parking at the ramps gets rather full so come early.
