Snapped a few spy shots while I was in Erik Brigham’s workshop...

The black motor is the last ever brigham worked TPE & The silver one an EME 1240 cylinders on a stretched block. There is some cool stuff happening in there. The purple ski is mine and when she is all done I will share tje full build. I just thought there were some ppl who would be interested in what’s coming out of that shop. This place is like a medical clean room. Every single detail of work this guy has done on my ski has been exacting. He has way more patience than I do.

Did they crack open the kv997 and see what kind of potential shes holding back?

As cool as it is to see this, did you have Erik’s approval to post pictures of his secret project?
 
If you look at the EME motor you can see its a 900 on the head. He does not make a 1500. Nor is the one on the bench at Eriks shop make 1500 cc.
 
For comparison, here is a Polaris RMK 800 PV Cylinder made by Gilardoni (Italy).

Note the 3-Port Exhaust and the Extra Large Transfer Ports. Eight Total Ports, but if you subdivide some of the huge Transfer Ports, you could end up with Ten or Twelve Total Ports, if more Ring Support is needed:

Around 150hp at ~8500 rpm in stock form, and this cylinder is at least two generations older than the latest and greatest (maybe more I can't tell just by looking).

Their current 850 is a considerably bigger/heavier motor physically though.
