I've been out of town with a loaner laptop so I didn't make much headway on getting my footage to the police.

In the meantime, I did get my new C2 set up tonight to replace the RLC210W out in the garage.

The difference is staggering...exact same placement but the coverage is doubled.

C2 - A 1440p Super HD 3X optical zoom PTZ security camera
Edit: I found the white balance to cancel out the glare from the LED's.

The C2 is also a PTZ with optical zoom and multiple presets for positioning.

I trained my wife on the new cam this morning and got approval to upgrade to a 16Ch NVR so we can record all our cameras. Currently we have 11 cameras but can only record 8.

Stage 2 of the upgrade will be to replace the driveway cam with an outdoor PTZ, add opposing cams facing down the sides of the house and one overlooking the back patio doors.

That will bring us to 14 cameras total with room to add a couple more as we highlight areas of concern.

My wife just happened to log into it and that was the view. It sits on a ledge looking out a window over our front door. We tinted all our windows so it reflects back if you have any interior lights on. :)

The bullets are weatherproof, pretty sure the domes are not.

Edit: I was wrong, they are both weatherproof, just different mounting styles for different placements.

I am going to order a couple of the domes to replace the bullets in the back patio and main entrance. Then move the bullets to the last two corners of the house that don't have them.

Now's a good time. $83.99 each (reg $104.99)
https://www.amazon.com/Reolink-Secu...61564&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=reolink+422&psc=1

I was looking because my parents just called and said their neighbor had a camper stolen from his property sometime in the past week. The property is right across the street so bad elements are in the area.
We are flying up for a visit in September so I'm going to take a Reolink camera system with me and get it installed while I'm there.

I put in my application yesterday.

I'm going to try and modify my Keen today and add a jack so I can plug it into a power supply. Batteries are good but why wouldn't they add a jack for the option?

They require you post a link to a review you have left. Can you review a product you haven't used yet?
I'll go off of what you guys say about these cameras :)

Just moving into a new house and would like to eventually setup a system so I like to keep up on this thread. Seems like all of the people in this thread have a ton of knowledge about this stuff.

IMO, it's the best bang-for-buck you're going to find, with available customer support. The camera's have metal housings (compared to the plastic ones Costco and everyone sells), free app that's easy to use and constantly upgrading. The picture quality is... see from the pics above.

I'm onsite this weekend supporting a project, bored out of my mind so I finally ordered the RLC-423 PTZ while it's on sale for $224.95.

My wife's creeper status will increase dramatically now. She works from home and loves keeping tabs on the neighborhood so this should be a welcome addition for her, lol. I'm not going to lie, I'm looking forward to it too.

This should be the final addition to our system for quite some time. It frees up another one of the RLC-410's so I now have 2 to install looking back down each side of the house and close the two remaining gaps in our coverage.

All said and done, we will have 13 cameras in service, recording 24/7 with 3 spare channels left on our NVR.

Total system cost, not including install or cabling is now at $1459.00

That's a hard pill to swallow but doing it in stages really helped. Had I tried to sell my wife on that cost originally it would have been a flat out no but if you ask her today, she would suck it up and sign up again in a heartbeat.
