Sent that in for a rebuild just in time

Just sent my motor in to Loki customs for a rebuild. I know the last 3 owners of this motor and I'll be honest it's not been cared for well so it was always in my mind that it needed a rebuild.
Needless to say that was one of the Pistons when it got stripped down so it was close to saying goodbye.
John church (Loki) said it was all original even the Pistons so it's done 20 years which is amazing, plus it was ported and running B pipe, MSD etc.
I will be having a new baby stroker built with a 5mm adr crank and a rebore taking me to around 820 cc with around 190 psi compression on a 61x/61x with 48 Novi that i was previously running on this motor. This will be ready soon so I've got a fresh motor when I compete in the IFWA euro rounds in a few months time.

Would be a great time to upgrade to 62T cases and have them ported...much better flowing than 61X, and not much money in the scheme of things!
Yes i did think that and i'll run the idea by Loki to see what he thinks, will need to upgrade carbs to something like 44's to i'd say.
All said it will be a Surf motor so want to stay with a single carb for simplicity, There's a few of these 820 5mm 61x motors in ski's and they're very impressive for a baby stroker. A mate has got one and even lads that have 865 and 900 ss motors where impressed.
