shipping a motor to Russia?-SELLER BEWARE

SELLER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 of the 4 packages I shipped out were returned by the postal inspector. The prepaid shipping labels were fraudulent. I called the postal inspector and he informed me of some disturbing practices by buyers in Russia. I've contacted the buyer and made him aware of the situation. Will keep updating this if I hear from him or anything else.

no, I'm sure all of them were fake labels. I just got 2 packages back so far. because I shipped two last week and two yesterday. postal inspector said they will usually ask for multiple packages because there's a chance one of the packages will slip through the cracks and actually make it to Russia.

Fake shipping labels.. All the labels are scanned now so they would have to be making labels that pass the scanner?

He emailed me the labels and I simply taped them to the box. The labels had tracking numbers on them and bar codes. The labels were fraudulent. The postal inspector told me either the labels were electronically manipulated or they were paid for with stolen funds. either way, the packages came back with a note saying that each one was due a certain amount of postage. As if the postage wasn't paid. One package was 20.2 lbs and the postage due was $137!

well at first I thought this was an honest mistake, so I emailed him and told him to conact the postal service and get this resolved, but now, im just gonna keep whatever gets returned and im not contacting him again. so i'll have a minty ebox for sale soon, a flywheel, stator,a SS switch, dual 44s and some 62t cases to sell.

honestly.. if it were me.. as soon as it sounded "fishy" i would have backed out.. especially when you look at all the scams coming out of Russia.. call me what you want (ahole etc) but at the end of the day you've gotta look out for yourself... we live in a rough world!
i wouldn't doubt one bit that if the payment was tracked back it would be fraudulent funds... bad deal for sure, I hope you get all your stuff back

I completely agree. Anytime I am dealing with someone a get a bad feeling about I back out. It's not worth the headache dealing with the aftermath

Wish I would have seen this earlier. Never ship anything to Russia or anywhere overseas for that matter, the scam has to deal with the buyer filing a claim AFTER the package (s) leave the United States. There is no real way for the P.O. to track mail over seas so PayPal almost always sides with the buyer after they file a claim stating package not received, leaving the seller screwed out money and the parts or whatever it may be.

hello guys. I see you opened interesting topic about me and blaming me that I'm going to cheat someone.
I thought that it's forum for the interesting people which are involved in the same things.
Now I'll tell you a story. I myself have fallen for scams.
We hav a website named "avito". It's like your craigslist but for Russia. I was going to buy iphone there. the seller was a man who buy in US and then resels in Russia cheaper than in shops. We were speaking a while and I told him that I'm often buy parts in US and the delivery is high enough, how can be good for him to sell phones cheaper than shops. And than he told me that he pays only 30% of delivery price. And also can help me with it too. So I bought two shipping labels through him, and all was fine. I guess he was also the man who got scammed.
When I bought motor from jetpilot36 I also asked those guy to help me whith delivery. He told me how to split and preferred weights of packages for a good result. Before those man I didn't know what shipping label is, was simply pay for delivery. I sent money to him and in a while got shipping labels for boxes of motor i bought from jetpilot36.
Not far ago I wrote to jetpilot36 and asjed to send exhaust to me. But he rejected. I don't understood what happens... Then I found this topic.
I wrote at monday to the guy who sold shipping labels for me and got answer that he'll look into the problem and would solve it. And disappeared then. No answer no my moneys paid.
I see you thinking I was going to scam jetpilot36. But I paid my personal moneys. Which I earned working hard. And I'm not going to reject paiment because i was scammed and jetpilot36 tried to send the packages. He also give me some parts that was not in original offer. So jetpilot36 is honest man and I'm very sorry that my whish to pay less for delivery resulted in such a problems.
We are not a politics just a real people, and you see that in Russia people also got scammed, which than as a chain result in problems for more than a one being cheated...
You may think anything you want, but if you think that it's good to sell carbs which was paid by me to someone else because i was scammed myself - that's your point of view, which I don't think is a correct one. I got 2 packages, crankshaft in need of repair and replacement of bearings.

So your saying that you received two packages and one had a crank in it and the crank was bad?
