i've posted this a few times, but no one seems to use it. we have moved horses several times across the US using this service. basically like ebay, you post details about shipment and shippers bid on it. a lot of independent small guys will gladly offer a cheap rate so they don't travel somewhere empty. you can see feedback of transit service and decide. i would have item insured, but everyone we have met off there was small guy with super service.

then there is the regular - fedexfreight and forwardair.

if common route for spring break, might find someone on here. good luck

To give you an idea I based it on this....

84" x 24" x 24" = 350lbs total (estimate)
Packaging type: 'crate' (build your own or use Yami overseas crate)

I was quote $202 USD.

Now you'd have to remove the battery and drain the gas tank (make sure no fumes, wash it out good.)

This is based on dock to dock shipping. If your shipping from an area that doesn't have a dock you'll either have to load it on the truck by hand with a couple buddies or request a tailgate (you USA people call these liftgates) at either 1 or both ends.

Easiest to ship it to a business that has a dock, and pick it up from there with a trailer or pickup truck. I'm sure both parties can arrange it with a friend of family member who has access to a warehouse with a dock. Or have it delivered to the terminal nearest the destination and pick ip up yourself.

Thats what you'd be looking to pay. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to move it for you, but at least it gives you a good idea of what you would be expected to pay. The $202 was with our discount (which is pretty good) off the posted tarrif. If you called them directly, you'd be looking at no more than $50 - $75 more.
