Should I buy an sxr1100 swap?

Im curious if the aquatrax engine was any good. Would be neat to see a Honda standup. Prime time for Polaris to jump back into the mix too if they could make a decent hull.

Hippies do ruin everything, I’m 230 and I don’t have enough time on a ski to say my weight is an issue. I’m 6’6” and that has been my issue thus far, I bend and crouch down into the ski’s I’ve ridden. I seriously don’t think I’ll ever be able to lock my legs like you guys when you flip. Makes me think I’ll never backflip, I’m going to try though

I am sure you can find someone near by and pay them 100$ to backflip there ski.

You are talking about back flipping and you want to buy an sxr1500 hull? Also as far as ergonomics are concerned, skis that backflip are not really comfortable to ride all the time.

Just buy a superjet with basic bolt ons, and just start riding. See if you even like the sport first. If you don't, you will lose the least amount of money on a superjet.

Wouldnt be subject to the same type of abuse as the RZRs and stuff. I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone repurpose an aquatrax engine in another hull

My xp1000 has had its ass ki ked by a drunk driver for about 6000 miles. Never missed a beat.

I was a service writer for Polaris. They are bad everywhere lol.

A service department only sees the machines that come in for service. Not the hundreds of others that don't. It's like everything else. 1 bad story gets around for 1000 good stories no one ever hears. Modern day machines are built to tolerances that leave pretty much everything to operator/owner error.

I processed a grand total of 3 honda warranties in the couple years I was there. Yamaha's more. Suzuki's a lot more. But Polaris? Constant warranty claims.

I’ve had the pleasure of riding a wdk rev with a 800 I believe, bob gen 1 with a 700, a krash50 and a super freak with a tpe motor.

Guy who owned the super freak was awesome, told me I could try one flip, said the ski wasn’t built for someone to practice. I tried a boat wake flip but licoriceed up the preload.

The bob I felt the rotation but just kept landing on my ass. The wdk and krash, I didn’t feel comfortable enough to even try

Also. Have you seen the typical Honda owner? They spend more time talking about how reliable Hondas are. Than hard-core riding. That's the thing. The type of person to finance a side by side. A rzr or can am. Is Joe blow dippoop. He doesn't know anything. He's gonna break and bust everybsingle part. The guy buying a Honda. Is old man river. He's been around the block. He's gonna cruise his bike slow and drive his talon on designated trails.

This is something I guess only people that actually have sxs and offroad experience know. Honda dude are grandpas

If I was limiting companys to a single vehicle type you'd have a point. But there are also motorcycles. Jetskis. Boats. Quads. Everyone thinks razrs with polaris because its the only thing they've made worth a dam.

But it does matter. Polaris sells the most of any brand. Of course they are going to have more warranty claims. And the vast portion of polaris sales. Are sxs. So owner absolutely matter. Both of those facts are available on Google.

Sure, they sell 10x more then the next brand. Honda sells 1000x more vehicles in total. Yamaha sells 1000x more vehicles. I bet Suzuki sells more sportbikes then Polaris sells SxS's, and that's not counting quads, dirtbikes, cruisers and scooters.
Since this thread is about skis, lets talk Polaris skis reliability vs everyone else. We LOVED them at the dealer, we made metric boat loads of money off the warranty claims.

I think they underestimated how bad owners generally are.

Honda. Yamaha. And Suzuki. Put out the same bs bikes every year. Different plastics. Same drive train. Of course they are reliable. They never change lol. The market is dwindling. Everyone wants a sxs. Not a quad or dirt bike.thsts why polaris and can am dominate the sales/market. And why you see a ton of warranty/repairs on side by sides. The dues who actually break stuff bought them.

I had a polairs 787 or something sit-down. I beat the piss out of it. People love the octanes. Never rode one.

My 2017 xp1000 had a fire in front. Geico paid me more than I paid for it. And didn't total it. Let me keep it and fix it. Cost me 2500. It was my fault. Charging problem. Operator error.
