Should I buy this superjet

Hey guys, so I’m definitely not new to the jet ski game. But I’m looking to get rid of my reed 550 and buy a sn superjet. I went and looked at this 91 yesterday and can’t decide whether or not to pull the trigger. Motors an all stock 650 and the only parts on it are prop, bars and ride plate. The dude wants 2300 for it. I checked compression, 145 both cylinders and the thing started right up and seemed to run good. Bottom of hull and pump look pretty clean and good. But it’s got a god awful yellow paint job that’s all chipped with graphics covering it. Not sure whether or not to pull the trigger.

Too much for a basically stock 650 in my opinion. Even here in California where skis are stupid expensive the 701 SN's go for $2500. I got my basically stock 650 SN a few months ago for less than $1,000. Most 650 SN's are in the $1,700 range.

There are 2 701 SN's in Sacramento now, one is $2,200 and one is listed for $2,800. And another one up in Grass Valley that looks rough but has a 701, ADA head and cheater pipe for $1,700.

Just use Search Tempest.

That’s exactly what i was thinking! Just wasn’t sure if it was actually worth it. Thanks for the input!

No spark would be pretty cheap to fix, CDI - $100, Start/Stop switch typically free cleaning, Stator - $100. This is assuming it has good compression and everything else.

Most of the ones I have seen end up being the Start/Stop switch. I like to take the gamble on cheap skis and get them going.

For sure I’ll definitely keep this ski in mind

regardless of what anybody previously said, $2300 for a clean stock SN is just about the going rate this year in CA. sure , you can find them cheaper , but i'll get 23-2500 out of the ones I sell. stock graphics that are clean are a selling plus.
