I was just wondering what you guys think. Have a RN Superjet with Group K big bore and porting, b-pipe and stock dual carbs. Would a single carb work on this set-up? Looking for simplicity and the best low end...

If I were to do it (I have contemplated it before) I'd go with the ATP manifold - not the Kawi manifold (That's what the Riva manifold is - a 650 Kawi manifold with an adapter plate).

Currently I'm running a Riva single carb setup on a 62t 760 with a 46mm buckshot and it rips. That being said, we just group ordered 3 single mani's from ATP for a few of the oside crew. Having heard they flow better, and of course they look better, and the price wasn't bad, we said screw it.

I'll need some feed back on that manifold please.

Ask PancakePete, Freestyleriverrat, Crammit442, IKSTEJ, cmw239, or spokewrench what they thought of the intake on my 860cc motor. Most people are surprised that a single can make the power they felt on that ski.

That being said, Charles (crammit442) has a very similar setup to me, but he is running dual carbs. When we rode together, his had a noticeably harder hit. I am going to bolt on dual 46's in a few weeks to see if I gain a bottom end hit over the single.

I would prefer the single as it just looks cleaner, and if you choose to go with a single, I would definitely recommend the ATP intake.

what I really want to know is the dif between the riva and atp. I"ve got a riva on my 62t motor now.

$160 GBP (Pounds) -> $303.5679US

GBP - Date - Exch Rate - US
160 - Nov 6 - 1.8973 - 303.5679

(1.89 US for 1 GPB)

I thought I would try this, but that is too much for a part to have on hand if I decide dual.
Its 104 GBP for Americans (Plus 20 GBP shipping). We don't pay the crazy taxes that they have to pay over there. It comes out to $230-ish dollars shipped to America.

We ordered more than one and got a discount. I think all in all it was actually LESS than a new Riva mani, and only a little more than I paid for a used Riva.

So what they are saying is if you are wishing to use your boat as a renatal then single is the gun for you

If you want your boat to rock and pull like a freight train then go for twins

Simplicity. And top speed ain't important.
But mostly - simplicity.
(Though I don't get this simplicity point - it's not like carbs are an "unreliable" part that needs constant maintenance and tuning)

I will also throw in there that I think a single will use more gas than two properly tuned duals.

would you say that J kenny's single carb is holding him back?

it's not like he goes huge in every single pic I see of him or anything...
