Here we go againopcorn: I like these threads alot. I think for surf a single is fine.....but on a built flatwater ski a single is just gona hold back a little hp.
Not him but his boat
would you say that J kenny's single carb is holding him back?
it's not like he goes huge in every single pic I see of him or anything...
I don't need my boat to jump higher than joe's boat.
I'd rather work on my skill level than my carb
mine too. no need to slap dual on there.I don't know about you - but my carbs have been dialed in for months, and have not required maintenance or tuning since then.

Would a single carb work on this set-up? Looking for simplicity and the best low end...
i thought its was about what you want
However, if you already have a dual setup, there is little reason to switch.
Additionally, a single carb setup will cost just as much as dual (44) on a 62T motor.
I realy wouldnt expect to get more power or hit by going single carb. Maybe you should lighten the flywheel, and do a bigbore......you would notice more of a power diffrence at least. IMO
Hey, if it works....don't F with it.
That's nonsense. LBE is running a complete single carb mani + stock 46mm that he picked up for $150. I'm running a single mani + 46mm buckshot that would equate to about $200-$250.
