650/X-2 should i put a 750 engine????

definitely makes a good bit of sense, the reason i asked is because i have a raider 701 and 1100 and now an x2...no real need for the 701 was going to part it but then thought hey, why not just swap in the 701 and use my 650 exhaust to make it work, should still perform better then the 650 but i dont know if i want to just yet, figured id beat the x2 up first then make a choice but thought id at least bring it up for discussion :) thanks!!

I'd personally leave the X2 alone and wait until you can buy a pipe for the 701, or use the stock 701 pipe if it fits. If you absolutely desire the 701 motor (can't blame you) and the stock pipe doesn't fit, I can understand and support the use of the kawi pipe, but don't settle for that. Consider it a temp fix and save the money to get that motor to hit hard.

yea i decided to part it all, after talking to my mechanic friend about it he suggested i just sell it..i had the 62t which isn't even the better 701 for bottom end so for the money it would be pointless to run the 701...thankfully they are wanted and sold already...ill just continue to enjoy the 650, the ski gets down for what it is i just have a problem with leaving things alone unfortunately.

The 62T cylinder has port timing that is better for top end performance. The 61x cylinder is better porting for bottom end. The 62T case has the dual carb set up. The best set up is a 62T case with 61x cylinders. You can use all of the carbs, electronics, everything from the 62T. The way to go is a 62T motor, B-pipe, carbs, lightened flywheel, then find a 61x cylinder and send that motor out to be worked. With the 62T, all you need is to find a set of cylinders, not even good ones if you want to pay for big bore power, but with the 62X motor, you have the right cylinders and need everything else. So, in summary, that 62T motor is exactly what you want.
