Should i repair this?

Hey im new to the sport and ive posted this on another forum aswell but no response. Just wondering if i should be concerned about my bottom deck or hull whatever its called lol, about this damage and get it repaired or should i not worry and just ride it? Any suggestions or opinions are welcomed. I have a 2008 superjetimage.jpgimage.jpg
Thanks

if u have any epoxy / filler lying around i would def mix up a cap of it and run over it. its only going to get worse, not better. that said, i wouldnt let it keep me off the water at all

Okay do you recommend a good epoxy and where they sell it? So should i not even bother going to a marina to get a quote?

Generally, its best to repair anything that is not right. How to repair it is a lot better of a question than if you should.

It's hard to tell from the pictures if its gouging or cracking. Gouging I would fix with a filler. Cracking I would cover with some glass.

Its like deep scratches underneath and the some parts of the side but the back is more or a guage id say. This pic is from underneath... All the smooth finish is gone now just deep scratches prob from beaching it on rough shores

Those are insignificant. Ride it.

That last picture on the 1st post looks like it may be significant enough to repair.

Does anyone know what the yamaha superjet hull is made of? Is it all fibreglas or fibreglass with renforced plastic?

The bond rail is the part you grab when you pick up the ski. It's called the bond rail because it is where the top deck is glued to the bottom deck.

The top deck is fiberglass. The bottom deck is smc.

Smc is sheet molded compound. It is similar to glass but heavier, or perhaps it's better to say its weaker so it's made thicker. In any case, use epoxy resin when working on the top or bottom deck.

sheet molded composite.

just ride it and dont worry about it. Its still structurally sound and mostly cosmetic. next off season flip it over, sand, fill and paint.

Yah but the one spot looks like its almost to the fibres or whatever u call it. And bottom underneath has no more smoothness to it its like rough compound. Just worried i ride it and somehow water soaks into the damage and ruins it completly

Something like this? Just brush on let it dry and sand and that should cover those gauges and dents?
