Should i run dual cooling?

Hey all, running a 61x, protec head, lightened flywheel, b pipe, mod chamber. Its set up for dual cooling. Should i plug one or run dual cooling? I ride surf/wake jump. Thanks.

You don't need to but it probably would help. Bring more water volume thru the motor or run a split system and bring cold water into the pipe. Also the dual lines into the manifold gives you insurance against clogging lines

I ride in lake Michigan mainly, with cold water temps (summer time temp rarely exceed the 50's) would that cause an issue? Yamabro, this is in a reaper with a 1 way valve and bilge pump, I'm not running a vaccuum bilge.

Your engine temp will be around 95 to 100 with dual cooling too manifold in water temp around high 50's. You'll want to run restricters in your pissers if you want to get your engine warmer. I shoot for 140 to 150. If you run one to pipe and other to manifold your engine temp won't get any colder than it already is and you can adjust engine temp with restricters without effecting your pipe. Takes a lot of restriction to get my engine to 135 140 ish in water about 54 ish winter. 2mm restricters winter, now summer iam on 2.37 mm, water might be 60ish. Iam reverse jetted so the extra fuel cools some so your numbers might very a little, also your ridding style might build slightl more heat

Answers are allready in this thread. I've done both Dual pissers and dual cooling is usually my norm. I'll run variable water temps from 30s in huron to 90s inland or Carolina beach. All good just need to watch it on engine break ins on engine temps for sure. Cold seizures are real. Lol
