I would say stick with the OEM superjet. Its the bomb for surf especially after reinforcing it. But if you live on a lake Tem makes some crazy light carbon hulls (superfreak). I rode his last hull in the surf and backflipped it 10 or so times. It has rocker so it wouldn't pearl and does backies by itself. But i doubt there is any way he could make a carbon both for 5 k. That would be materials alone i would think.

We should all bombard him with emails to start making fiberglass surf boats...those would be sick and a lot cheaper. The rocker he puts on the back and front are the future of ski designs i think. Think about it...get rid of pearling and eaiser no backflip...I'm sold!

I thought of a better reason.

One of the many things holding me back from trying new things was all the carnage stories i've heard of busted up skis. Buying a Matrix hull removed that fear. I now own a ski that can take way more than i can dish out and its one less mental roadblockfor me to get over.

Now if only i could buy bigger balls and more time off work to ride.

Dont think, just do.

Thinking is the biggest hold back.

Are you still rocking rn with that Ada engine ??

Don't know about rocking it , but yes still very happy with my Jet works ADA . There is one on the board that would go great in a AM hull....... you only need one kidney after all.

A Little birdy told me , who heard from someone else , that there cousins friend said , someone who builds a very light , well handling, All carbon hull is looking / sourcing suitable materials to build an S-glass hull in the 70 ish pound range .

I would seriously look at that hull orange finger before pulling the trigger.

>> an S-glass hull in the 70 ish pound range << What is S-Glass ?? Who is the bird or the builder ?

Thank you for all the great input

(Flatwater Freestyle 99% , wish to do hood tricks not only Backflips )

therefore thoughts

>> I dont want to poor more money into another Hull because once you start adding up the $$'s without including any engine costs just hull/driveline/steering it makes me sick, or lets say i could have already bought a complete AM hull....
its just hidden in my Square loooool
>> I have a great Engine TS 771cc and my plan was to transfer the powerplant with considerbale lower weight of the Hull, now some of the AM hulls offered are only 20-30 pounds lighter than RN weight which i can not rectify purchasing.. I rather stop eating a burger or 2 and hit the gym once a day :0)
>> Or I spent the Money in a larger Engine and stick with a reinforced RN hull

Side note (TEM has PM'd me and offered me a good deal and I have no doubt in the quality of his work its excellent ! )
