300/440/550 Show Off Your 650 SX!!

This is my 650sx. It was fully stripped last year and repainted. This year i am repainting, refoaming, installing footholds, repairing and reinforcing the hull and building a new motor for it(1mm bore with wiseco pistons, KERKER pipe, 40mm keihin carb, milled stock head). Also, i got a new pump housing and don't know what impeller to use(my last one was a 15.5 Skat trak). I was also thinking of running it without a waterbox, but would like some opinions first.

Here is my old 1991. I parted it out and got rid of it about 5 years ago. I put a 750 SS engine in it. It had a ported cylinder, R&D head, full 650 Coffman Exhaust, Box, Pipe, Exhaust Manifold, Dale's 650 CDI, Jetinetics 650 Flywheel, R&D Intake, RAM Valves, Mikuni SBN 44 silver series, Ocean Pro nozzle, Jet Dynamics Plate & Grate, 16.0 prop, Bars, quick turn, finger throttle, AC Aluminim Pole, and a bunch of other doo dads. It ran good but never very long. I kept seizing it tryign ot get the jetting right. I got tired of dumping money into it and got ride of most of everything I had for it. Sure ran better than a stock 650!

My ski

Not totally sure about model years. I know its a 650 hull (not sure how many years they did side exhaust instead of rear exhaust) used for racing. Custom skid plate with rails to help hold the corners. Engine bought from my friend out of his old ski. It's a ported 650. Aluminum handle pole, scoop grate, finger throttle, quick steer, not sure what prop. I've had several of the $500 dollar stock versions and this one is 1000% better. I ride enough now (almost everyday from May through November) where I am contemplating a new sled for more reliability with the same / better performance. Not sure whether to go SJ or SXR, being I haven't ridin either. I am not much for freestyle, just like to ride non-stop for complete tankfulls and get as much air as possible. I live on a river system so there is lots of variety for riding conditions, which keeps the free riding from becoming boring.

That is a nice paint job, i really liek it!

yeah ditch that stock pipe for an FPP. As long as you have the head pipe, you can try different chambers from different ski models.

I am in the middle of building one now. It my roomates but we are putting a tigershark 770 motor in it. Motor has 95hp stock and we got cylinder/case porting, prok filters, lightened flywheel, and had an adapter made so it will fit a superjet B pipe. Everything is starting come together now but we still got some work to do on it. This thing should rip though.

Figured I would keep the pics coming in. There's nothing special about my ski but given that it's a 92 it's still quite clean.

Here's mine. Nothing special. Turf, finger throttle, 4 degree bars, lanyard, bilge pump, rustoleum paint job, oem pipe mod, and Skat 15. I think that's it. I built it from two parts skis. Many hours of labor but not a lot of money in it. I built it last spring and then had my first child in July. I rode it maybe 4 times. I need to spend some time on it this summer to learn how to ride a damn standup. It's a lot harder than it looks. At least turning is.
