Nice ski jjc568! u got me looking at the 701 in my waveraider and the empty engine compartment in my sxi!

My 96. Jensen ported Super Cylinder,MRD, 12 vane mag pump, Stevensens 19-21 prop. I'm going to flat deck it and put fixed steering on it, I'm getting old.

Been helping a freind build his 750 over the past couple of months. He bought the ski last summer with the traditional yellow, purple, pink, graphics and came to me with some ideas about turning it into the evel sx water cycle (huge evel knievel fan). It needed a clean-up, paint, turf, some body work, and some tuning, but I think it turned out pretty nice.

92 750sx
-New motor
-fresh white paint
-graphics
-turf w/ lifters
-Factory Pipe
-A/M grate
-4* UMI bars with white ODI's
-new pole
-All red anodized fittings, bilge outlets, bow eyes, pissers, bar ends and clamps

Unfortunately the lady who printed the graphics spelled evel wrong but she's printing up some new ones.

The idea was to create a recognizable "Evel Knievel" ski without going too crazy to a point where it becomes cheezy.

Next season he wants to do up his X2 to match the 750.

Just got it and have parts on the way 0 Deg bars, finger throttle, Tau Ceti's Pro Series II filter and adapter, TBM turnplate, ODI grips. Then I just gotta wait for the ice to melt!

I just picked up an SXi Pro a month ago. I haven't built the ski, the work was done by the previous owner. But the ski is mint and I can't wait to ride it, here's a list of what's done so far.

-0 Degree bars w/odi grips,locks and plugs
-hood straps
-removed all purple!!!!
-tau ceti arrestors
-hydroturf bottom mat and lifters
-jet dynamics plate and grate
-hand pole llmiting rope
-AP design pads
-pump cone
-Blowsion Kick plate
-Umi pole helper
-Rule 500 bilge pump/ blowsion switch on pole
-Blowsion finger throttle

how do you like the footholds and what kind are they?? I need some and really dont have time to cut into my hull.

Those are just lifters. And the ones he has are made by AP Designs. Its a cover really that you glue/staple on over the original sides. I have their side matts, just not with lifters.

Scratch that. That looks like the AP Designs side matts with Hydro Lifters.

When I bought it #1, before I tore it down this last fall #2, and in progress installing footholds, SJL Sponsons, painting, and other cool stuff #3.. Added 2-6 Freshly painted hull in pic #4.. Next week flipping it to finish the topside and reassemble... Finally...

edit... Surfjet Louie sponsons went on today... #5

Edit again... All together and ready to ride.. Still need to paint the sponsons one of these days..

My 1998 SXI PRO

Mods:
750sxi pro, 145psi on both cyl., 779cc weicos, Wet pipe, msd coil, r&d time advance, Dual cooling, hand warmers(tell tale run to handle bars for winter riding), Carbon reeds, 38mm carbs, Scoop grate, R&D ride plate, Board nozzel, pump wedge, stubby cone, dual Rule 500 bilge pumps, 4 degree bars, made quick steer, Limit rope, hood straps, Pole sping tensioner, carb primer, flame arrestors, turf and Foot holes, Hood intakes modified, and holds in hood, blowsion finger throttle, ODI lock on grips. Custom painted motor, fuel & cooling lines, every parts of the hull that was purple is now painted black.

Ski has a fresh motor in it, just broken in. It has been run in salt but properly flushed after every use, ski had normail wear and teat sctatched no major ones, and slight cracks aroung the handpole mount.

to be installed mariner head and novi 48

also planning on finishing turfing and foot holds

get a finger throttle. i had one on my 550 and i miss it so much! for hood tricks i like the thumb throttle but everything else, i wish i still had the finger. looks sweet though. 1000 and it came with a factory pipe. not a bad find
