reach up with your left hand and grab the bars, put your right foot in the left corner or middle of the tray. step and push down with your foot while throttling, and get the ski to hook up(suck in water so the back end sinks. Then throttle it out of the hole straight or while steering right to lift you up. I like to lean back a lot and exit straight, rather than try to take off with the ski sideways.

Maybe someone has a video that would make it easier to see the motions.

I think direction of steering is most important. Point the steering so it pushes the rear of the ski under you if that makes sense. So if the ski is leaning on the left, turn right and gas it. This should push the rear of the ski under you and upright it all at the same time. That's how I do it on stand ups and blasters. I usually don't worry about hand or foot placement. Give it a few tries and you will get it all figured out.
