Sideways screen

I have a cheap net book type pc for my daughters. My wife opened it up today and the screen is sideways (turned counterclockwise). I know how to operate a computer but not fix one. Has anyone here ever seen a computer screen turn sideways before and how the heck do I fix it?

more advanced video cards can do this... thats pretty surprising for a netbook.
What operating system?
Look in the control panel for display properties.

It has xp. Its a cheap pos that the phone company gave me for upgrading my phone plan

ctrl+alt+up arrow fixed it. I guess one of the girls hit ctrl+alt+right arrow and caused it. I've never seen this before.

That's setup for use with rotating displays. VERY nice when you have a wide screen that can be rotated on it's side. Then you can view .doc, .pdf, or whatever and see the whole page at one time without needing to scroll. We did ctrl+alt+down arrow to a coworker. He just flipped his monitor over and had it upside down on his desk for about a month until we went back and fixed it.
